More on 'Shell'
'Shell' made its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2024. Minghella revealed that Hudson was always his first choice for Zoe Shannon, describing her as the only actress who could bring the right blend of charm, authority, and wit to the role. He emphasised that the film was designed to balance entertainment with ideas, aiming for a stylish piece of escapism that still leaves audiences with something to reflect on after the credits roll.

The director also noted that the creative team never wanted the project to take itself too seriously. Instead, the goal was to deliver a campy, high-energy thriller that leans into its over-the-top aesthetic while still speaking to themes of beauty, fame, and power.
'Shell' arrives in select theatres and on digital platforms starting 3rd October, positioning itself as one of the fall's must-see thrillers.
