Sydney Sweeney will not appear in 'The Devil Wears Prada 2,' even though she originally filmed a scene for the movie.

The 28-year-old actress, known for 'Euphoria,' shot a cameo that was meant to appear early in the film. However, the scene was later removed due to a creative decision during production.

She was reportedly set to play herself as a celebrity client of Emily Blunt's character, Emily Charlton, who now works as a Dior executive.

Sydney Sweeney's Cameo

Although photos and videos from the set last year showed Sydney Sweeney alongside Blunt, her appearance did not make it into the final cut. This has now been confirmed, putting an end to speculation.

Writer Aline Brosh McKenna addressed the rumours, explaining that many people were spotted on set, which led to confusion and online jokes about who was actually in the film. When asked directly, she made it clear that Sweeney is not part of the finished movie.

The sequel arrives nearly two decades after the original 'The Devil Wears Prada' and brings back stars like Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci. Director David Frankel and McKenna are also returning.

New additions to the cast include Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, B. J. Novak, and others.

'The Devil Wears Prada 2' is releasing on 1st May 2026.
