Tallulah Willis has responded to criticism on Instagram after sharing recent photos of her father, Bruce Willis, amid his ongoing health battle. The ‘Die Hard’ actor, who retired from acting in 2022 following a diagnosis of aphasia, was later confirmed in 2023 to be living with frontotemporal dementia (FTD), a rare form of dementia that affects behaviour and language.

The Willis family has continued to keep fans informed with updates and occasional photos, including a post celebrating Bruce’s 70th birthday. In a new series of images, Tallulah shared moments of affection between her and her father, showing them holding hands and hugging.

However, the post drew some critical comments, with one user expressing concern about privacy, writing that Bruce was “vulnerable” and that his daughter didn’t have his permission to post such images. In response, Tallulah acknowledged the concern but stated that the family exercises discretion when deciding what to share. She added that the day had been filled with smiles and she felt it was worth showing to the world, especially given how much Bruce means to so many people.

Another commenter questioned the value of publicising Bruce’s condition, suggesting that such posts might compromise his dignity. They also asked whether there was a greater purpose, such as fundraising or contributing to research. Tallulah did not directly respond to that comment.

Public Support and Reflections on Bruce Willis’ Legacy

Despite the criticism, many users came to her defence, with one person sharing that they had also posted photos of a parent with dementia as a way of honouring their memory. Others thanked Tallulah for offering glimpses of joy and love, appreciating the openness and sending support to the family.

Meanwhile, actor Don Johnson recently reflected on his relationship with Bruce Willis, noting how the veteran actor had played a role in helping him break into the industry.
