Dappest & adL, the multi-genre duo from Shillong comprising Dapher and Adiel, have unveiled their latest four-track EP. Drawing inspiration from the golden age of disco and funk in the 1970s and 1980s, the EP combines pulsating basslines, irresistible beats and rich melodies. The combination is a fresh yet nostalgic listening experience that uplifts and energizes listeners.

The EP explores the concept of limerence, capturing the emotional journey of love through its stages—falling in love, being in love, and falling out of love. Each track narrates a chapter of this experience, weaving together raw emotions and musical storytelling. According to the duo, the project reflects the highs and complexities of love. They sought to craft a sound that bridges the soulful energy of classic disco and funk with a modern perspective, creating music that feels both timeless and innovative.

Renowned for their distinctive style, Dappest & adL effortlessly blend smooth harmonies, funky beats, and emotive storytelling. The EP is a celebration of love, self-expression, and the joy of music, offering a sonic journey that resonates deeply with listeners. Their new songs will debut live at the Akon Superfan Tour – V1BE Manila 2024 in the Philippines, where Dappest & adL are set to open for Akon on December 3, 2024.
