Khloé Kardashian Says Lamar Odom Was the First Man to Lead Her Family After Her Father’s Death

Even over ten years after their divorce, Lamar Odom’s influence on Khloé Kardashian’s life persisted.
For the first time in more than nine years, Khloé and her ex-husband reunited in ‘The Kardashians’ most recent season. In the latest episode, she discussed the significance of the emotional encounter that happened at her best friend Malika Haqq’s residence.
Realizing the impact Odom had on her entire family, she said that she was still processing the experience. She viewed Odom as the first powerful male figure in their life after losing her father, Robert Kardashian Sr., when she was a small child. Naturally, he assumed the position of protector, and people of all ages looked up to him.
Odom’s family put her on a pedestal during the height of their relationship, and Khloé felt that this was well-earned. However, everyone who was close to her was also impacted by the anguish of his demise. Even while she still loved and appreciated him, she realized that the version of him they had once loved was no longer there. She realized she could no longer be the one to assist him when she saw him again.

It wasn’t an easy choice for Khloé to break off her relationship with Odom. She had taken care of him following his almost deadly overdose in 2015, but she realized she had to go when he started acting in ways he had in the past.
She observed that Odom appeared uncomfortable at their meeting, but she felt emotionally aloof herself. She said that their love story was one of the best in her life, but it also made her learn how to stop loving someone. She was left with a range of feelings that were difficult for her to express because the event seemed both incredibly familiar and entirely unfamiliar.
