Dua Lipa Doesn’t ‘Recognize’ Levitating Collaborator

The American rapper raised eyebrows at the Rolling Loud Music Festival held in Miami on July 26th when he made some highly inappropriate comments on HIV/AIDS and the LGBTQ+ community during his performance.  “If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of the deadly sexually transmitted diseases that’ll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up,” he said as he addressed the crowd. “Fellas, if you ain’t sucking d**k in the parking lot, put your cellphone lighter up!”

Criticisms against the rapper’s derogatory comments soon came flooding in with many demanding him to apologize for his action. His Levitating co-star was also among those who condemned the incident.

“I’m surprised and horrified at DaBaby’s comments. I really don’t recognize this as the person I worked with. I know my fans know where my heart lies and that I stand 100% with the LGBTQ community. We need to come together to fight the stigma and ignorance around HIV/AIDS,” she wrote in an Instagram story.

Following the outpour of criticisms online, DaBaby took to his Twitter handle to respond and offer an apology for his remarks.

Meanwhile, fans are now demanding that Dua Lipa remove the rapper from her ‘Levitating’ remix.
