Premiering during the Netflix Tudum 2025 global event recently, the teaser gives fans their first glimpse at the third chapter in Rian Johnson’s acclaimed mystery franchise.

Craig reprises his role as the Southern sleuth, this time taking on what appears to be his most dangerous case yet. Craig and writer-director Rian Johnson, who has directed the series since its inception, will work together again in the upcoming 'Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery' movie. The teaser hints at suspense, unexpected twists, and a stellar ensemble cast that includes Glenn Close, Cailee Spaeny, Kerry Washington, with many other talents.

Daniel Craig appeared in the released teaser wearing a crisp three-piece suit and substantially longer hair, implying an attractive twist for the beloved investigator Benoit Blanc. Johnson shared the image on social media, signalling exciting changes ahead for the franchise.

Titled after a 1997 U2 song from the band’s Pop album, 'Wake Up Dead Man' has been in the works since Netflix acquired the rights to the 'Knives Out' sequels in a reported $400 million deal in 2021. Though a fourth instalment hasn't been officially confirmed, Johnson has expressed interest in continuing the saga if the right story comes along.
