Akademiks Reveal Drake is Crafting a Reply to Kendrick Lamar
DJ Akademiks has alleged that Drake is preparing his next response to Kendrick Lamar. Akademiks shared this news on his Rumble channel on 18th July, where he has reportedly been in frequent contact with the Canadian rapper during his ongoing feud with Lamar.
The dispute between Drake and Lamar flared up again in March when Lamar featured on a track from Metro Boomin and Future’s collaborative album, ‘We Don’t Trust You’. Lamar’s verse was a rebuttal to a previous J. Cole and Drake collaboration where Cole referred to himself, Drake, and Lamar as “the big three.”
Akademiks has now suggested that it’s “sneak dissing time,” emphasizing that the feud is far from over and expressing anticipation for the first subtle jabs in Drake’s response.
Akademiks hinted that he won’t reveal specifics but suggested that Drake’s initial subtle diss aimed at Kendrick Lamar will be intriguing based on how it is presented.
Earlier this month, Akademiks teased upcoming Drake music, promising that it would be fire.
The feud has prompted various celebrities to take sides. Former Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello expressed her frustration with the criticism directed at Drake, while Serena Williams took a playful jab at Drake during the ESPYs. Williams humorously remarked that, based on her experiences this year, no one—including herself—should ever engage in a conflict with Kendrick Lamar.
