Barry Keoghan Praises Girlfriend Sabrina Carpenter as a ‘Strong, Independent Woman’

Using loving language for the singer, Barry Keoghan recently talked about his relationship with Sabrina Carpenter. In an interview with Spotify’s ‘The Louis Theroux Podcast’ recently, the 32-year-old actor praised the 25-year-old Carpenter, calling her a “strong, independent lady” and said he feels fortunate to have her in his life.

When the host inquired about their connection, Keoghan and Theroux shared a humorous moment. He chuckled, admitting that he had anticipated Theroux’s query, but he nevertheless praised Carpenter’s abilities and individuality. In addition, Keoghan called his part in the music video for her song ‘Please Please Please,’ released in June, a “fantastic project.” Theroux also mentioned an interesting detail about Carpenter’s family during the podcast, which Keoghan already knew: her aunt Nancy Cartwright is the voice of Bart Simpson.

After they were seen dining together in Los Angeles in December 2023, rumours of their romance started to circulate. They made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty in March and were spotted together on other occasions in the months that followed. Keoghan also went to Carpenter’s performance in Virginia in October, when she called his name by changing a song’s lyrics as a shout-out.

Carpenter previously talked to The Guardian about the difficulties of handling public attention in her personal life, despite the fact that their relationship has had its ups and downs, as a source told People in August. Although she recognized the attention, she stated that she was still committed to speaking honestly about her experiences.

Keoghan, who starred in ‘Dunkirk’ and ‘The Banshees of Inisherin’, and his ex-partner Alyson Sandro have a baby named Brando in August 2022. Carpenter has been connected to Joshua Bassett and Shawn Mendes in the past.
