BLACKPINK’s Jisoo Cast As Female Lead in New Show

BLACKPINK is gearing up for a mega comeback in every sense of the word. Earlier today, news broke that Jisoo, the leader of the girl group, is all set to don her acting cap. The singer has been cast as the female lead for an upcoming show, titled “Snowdrop”. BLACKPINK’s fans rejoiced at the news, taking over Twitter trends earlier today. 

Jisoo, who has a career in acting alongside being a performer, was announced as the female lead of ‘Snowdrop’ earlier today. The show will reportedly be helmed by the writer-director team of the critically acclaimed 2019 drama, “Sky Castle”. No further details about the upcoming project have yet been revealed.

In addition, joining the exciting news are more updates about BLACKPINK’s upcoming single with Selena Gomez. The group took to Twitter to share a brand new teaser poster of the track. The poster plays around with fun colours, following their theme of what fans have speculated to be a summery single. Further, the poster reveals the release date – 28th August, 2020. However, the title of the track has not yet been revealed.

And, while fans wait for updates about the sound of the track, news of a music video reached them earlier today. BLACKPINK’s fans were treated with a picture of a truck on a set with a license plate that read: ‘SELPINK’. The post was made by featuring artist and pop star, Selena Gomez.

And, while there has been no comment from the group or their management, fans continue to Sherlock their way through this comeback.
