BTS & Halsey Join The One Billion Club with ‘Boy with Luv’
A new day, a new victory graces South Korea’s biggest hit group: BTS. The band’s 2019 track, ‘Boy With Luv’ featuring Halsey, has just hit the one billion mark on YouTube!
YouTube recently confirmed that ‘Boy with Luv’ had made it to the One Billion Club. The song now sits alongside other impressive acts like ‘Senorita,’ ‘Dance Monkey,’ ‘Hello’ and many more.
The tune made its landing on April of 2019. And upon release, it immediately raked in a new record, becoming one of the top five 24-hour debuts in all of YouTube history, surpassed only by their next mega hit, ‘Dynamite,’ which occupied the throne with a whopping 101.1 million views in its first 24 hours.
Brimming with lovely pastel shades, funky dance routines and glossy visuals. It was only a matter of time before this visualizer made it to the summit. Further, at the time, BTS notched one of their highest rankings on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, with ‘Boy with Luv’ peaking at No.8. And who knew, in just about a year’s time, the boys would be welcoming home an even greater victory: becoming the first Asian stars in 57 years to claim the No. 1 spot on the chart with ‘Dynamite‘.
BTS Gear Up For A New Era
BTS are also keeping the excitement at an all-time high, by gifting army a string of treats ahead of the release of their upcoming album, ‘BE’. The boys first treated fans to a charming, blue hued concept photo. And followed it up with a string of heartwarming post cards.
The boys penned down little messages to ARMY, each note ending with a thought provoking question: “Dear ARMY, what would BTS be remembered as in your life?” “Dear ARMY, when do you feel happy in your everyday lives?” and many others, along the same vein. So, as the sun shines on a new victory for both BTS and Halsey, we can safely say that many more will follow.
