Celine Dion Set to Make Film Debut in “Text for You”

Celine Dion is taking her penchant for love, music and everything in between to the silver screen. The Canadian singer-songwriter has been cast in the upcoming film, “Text for You”. In addition, this appearance will mark her film debut.

All the Big Names…

Dion, widely recognised as a veteran of romance ballads, will be a flagbearer of the power of music in the upcoming production. “Text for You”, under Sony’s Screen Gems banner, is an English adaptation of the German film of the same name. Further, cast alongside Celine Dion in this project are the protagonists – Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Sam Heughan.

In addition, the romantic drama will be helmed by Jim Strouse and Lauren Kahnis in terms of creative direction. Further, Erica Lee and Esther Hornstein are producers of the upcoming project.

Dion’s Power of Music

“Text for You” follows a woman (played by Chopra Jonas) who loses her fiance. Unable to cope with the loss, she sends messages to his old phone number. And, on the receiving end of the number is a man (played by Heughan) dealing with heartbreak from a similar loss. And, there begins the pair’s love story. Led and inspired by Celine Dion’s music, they take their chances with love, again.

Further details of the upcoming film, including tentative release dates, and such are yet to reach us.
