Superstars, Dua Lipa and Elton John have announced their new collaboration Cold Heart (Pnau Remix). The new song is all set to be released on the 13th of August.
Pnau, the Australian dance music trio consisting of Nick Littlemore, Peter Mayes, and Sam Littlemore, has been mentored by John for years now. Earlier in 2012, they worked together on the remix album Good Morning to the Night. This album is a collection of songs made by mixing samples of John’s songs from early on in his career. The album debuted at No.1 on the U.K. Albums Chart.

While the remix has Dua singing lines from John’s 1972 classic Rocket Man, and John singing lines from his hit in 1990, Sacrifice.
Dua Lipa posted an Instagram story saying, “I’m fizzing with excitement!!!! @eltonjohn I love you and I’m so happy this is finally coming out into the world.” This was followed by an array of heart emojis and a piece of art in which the singers were animated.
Elton John posted an announcement of the collaboration, “I am so excited to finally be able to tell you all that I have a new single with Dua Lipa ‘Cold Heart (PNAU Remix)’ coming out this Friday!” He also posted a snippet of the Cold Heart, “Cold, old heart. Hard done by you. Some things looking better baby. Just passin’ through,” the Rocket Man sings the interpolation of his ‘80s hit Sacrifice. Below the post, John added, “Dua, I adore you, and it has been an incredible experience making this together. I can’t wait for you all to hear it!”
On the other hand, Lipa’s lyrics on “Cold Heart” interpolate the English musician’s legendary smash “Rocket Man (I Think It’s Going to Be a Long, Long Time).” “And I think it’s gonna be a long, long time/ ‘Til touchdown brings me ’round again to find,” she sings in her extended teaser of the song that she posted on Twitter.

Dua Lipa and Elton John got together earlier this year in March during the music legend’s AIDS Foundation Oscars pre-party. Lipa and John took turns to duet each other’s songs, including Jon’s Billboard Hot 100 No.1 Bennie and the Jets and Lipa’s Future Nostalgia deep cut Love Again. John was also one of the VIP guest stars on Lipa’s Studio 2054 live-stream last year.

Reports from NME say that Elton John recently praised Dua Lipa as well as Lorde, Billie Eilish, and more during an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe. Lipa, meanwhile, said she “absolutely lost [her] mind” when John played ‘Levitating’ on his Rocket Hour radio show, which last month reached its 300th episode.
