Fans Worry as TWICE’s Jeongyeon is Missing From Action

TWIC's Jeongyeon missing from action

Fans of the K-Pop girl group, TWICE, have taken to social media to express their concern over member Jeongyeon’s absence at a recent award show. The singer has been ill for a while now, and was last seen performing seated at an online event hosted by the girl group.

Following fans’ concern over the situation, the group’s management, JYP Entertainment, put out a statement. The statement read: “Hello, this is JYP Entertainment. This is to announce that Jeongyeon will not be able to participate in the 2020 SORIBADA BEST K-MUSIC AWARDS on August 13th (Thurs). We ask the fans for a kind understanding.” Further, they added, “We will do our best for her speedy recovery. Thank you.”

However, the statement made no indication as to the reason for her absence, leaving fans worried for the singer’s health. And, while there is no comment about whether Jeongyeon is suffering from an illness or an injury, fans have taken to social media to support the singer. Many continue to encourage JYP Entertainment to put out a more detailed statement to appease fans.

This aside, TWICE is sure to pull through with great music on the other side. The group, who are still riding a wave of success following their 9th mini album, “More & More”, are already working on new music. Earlier this month, news broke that the girl group is all set to release new music by year end, hinting at a full-length studio album.
