Lauv is Back With A Surprise: ‘Without You’

Lauv has made us go gaga about his music since his last piece of work. In March, the ‘I Like Me Better’ singer released his debut album called ‘how i’m feeling’ and without much delay, he’s out with more music. He returns with a quarantine EP called ‘Without You’, looks like this pandemic has truly inspired him.

‘Without You’ is a four track project which is written and produced by Amy Allen, DallasK and Johnny Simpson. The lead single of the album is ‘Dishes’ which also has a music video.

Well, seems like a very productive time for Lauv who recently came out with his video and podcast series called ‘Breaking Modern Loneliness’. The series is inspired by his previous single ‘Modern Loneliness’, apparently ‘the most important’ song he’s worked on.

After promoting the release of his EP ‘Without You’ on his Instagram as a feed and story, the tracks released on June 24, 2020. He also dropped the music video of ‘Dishes‘ which talks about a former lover and their memories as they’re not around anymore.

The music video of ‘Dishes’ opens up with Lauv popping up from behind a counter full of plates and he continues to dance and sing along to the lyrics of the song in his kitchen throughout the video.

“The dishes in the kitchen / The dancin’ in the rain / The singin’ in the shower / Yeah, that’s stuck in the drain / A party on the weekend / And everyone is here / But it feels so weird, without you.”
