MONSTA X Makes Their Landing With the Sultry ‘Love Killa’

MONSTA X stars in the 'Love Killa' music video

K-Pop boy group, and Western pop music crossover act, MONSTA X, have officially made their highly anticipated comeback. The ‘WHO DO U LOVE’ hit makers released their album, “Fatal Love” earlier today. In addition, the 10-track project was accompanied by the title track – ‘Love Killa’ and its music video.

‘Love Killa’ follows the group’s signature style – energetic, trap beats combined with melodic vocals. Further, the track centers around two major, hard-hitting rap verses delivered by Jooheon and I.M. In addition, the choreography in this track sees a switch up. While the six-member group usually showcases high-energy, vigorous routines, this track sees them slowing down, engaging in a highly stylised choreographed piece, working with formation and subtle movements.

Owing to the structure of the song, Jooheon and I.M make their mark with witty quips and impressionable lines. The former kicks things off with the slick line, “Oh, I’m sorry. Did I make you anxious?” Further, I.M joins in with some not-so-subtle songwriting. In the opening lines of his verse, he says, “Eat me like a main dish.” And, with interludes of melodic harmonies from the vocalists and trap-heavy hook, ‘Love Killa’ proves to be a sultry, albeit severe ode to infatuation, love and everything in between.

‘Love Killa’ finds its place on the group’s album, “Fatal Love”. This serves as the follow up to their previous all-English release, an album titled, “ALL ABOUT LUV”. Further, MONSTA X have seen a rise in popularity, both on home ground as well as overseas. Their last album even debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 album chart.

“Fatal Love” by MONSTA X is out now, and available on all streaming platforms.
