Olivia Rodrigo Admits She Was “Terrified” on Opening Night of GUTS World Tour

Olivia Rodrigo’s GUTS world tour may be her second career tour, but she still felt “terrified” before stepping onto the stage in Palm Springs.

After her first performance, Rodrigo enjoyed an emotional moment backstage with family and friends. “I remember coming off stage and my mom, my dad, and all my friends were there cheering,” she recalls. “We popped champagne, and it was such a beautiful moment I’ll remember forever.”

In the early shows, her nerves were especially intense during her piano pieces, with hands shaking and the worry of a slip-up lingering. “I was so scared that I was going to mess up,” she shares, but over time, she grew more comfortable, allowing herself to enjoy each performance.

Rodrigo’s world tour experience is now featured in the Netflix special ‘Olivia Rodrigo: GUTS’ World Tour, directed by James Merryman.

“I am so excited to share the ‘GUTS World Tour with my fans,” Rodrigo expressed, promising those who missed out in person “the best seats in the house.”

The ‘GUTS’ World Tour opened with Chappell Roan as Rodrigo’s supporting act, and featured special performances by The Breeders, Remi Wolf, PinkPantheress, and Benee throughout.  With her nerves conquered, Rodrigo’s tour journey has left a lasting mark both on her and her fans.
