Irene & Seulgi Are Out to Play with Your Heart in ‘Naughty’

Not long after they left their imprint on the music landscape with ‘Monster,’ it looks like Irene and Seulgi have done it again. The duo, who also find their spots as part of the girl-group ‘Red Velvet,’ have just dropped their follow-up track, ‘Naughty’. 

The tune makes its stroke on the same canvas as their debut EP, ‘Monster’. Interestingly, the tune kicks off with a rather mystical, grandiose orchestra which segues into a groovy bass line with ease. Between the duo’s tinkling verses and power-packed chorus, ‘Naughty,’ doesn’t hesitate to drag you right down to the middle of the dancefloor. 

Seductive and cheeky, the song speaks of a raging desire, while Irene and Seulgi decide whether or not to hand their hearts over to their lovers. Here, take a look at the lyrics:

Now, coming to their music video, it focuses purely on their choreography. The video opens with Irene and Seulgi bumping into each other in what some might call a “fated encounter”. What follows is their power-packed piece, under a black and white filter. The choreography is ripe with an array of hand movements, catching every beat perfectly. Irene & Seulgi waste no time in proving that when it comes to dance, it’s a piece of cake for them. 

The music video is labeled ‘Episode 1,’ suggesting that there will be more to come. But until then, let the duo get you up on your feet with ‘Naughty’.
