Hudson revealed that his on-screen chemistry with Silverstone on 'A Merry Little Ex-Mas' set developed quickly, even though the two had not met prior to filming. Their collaboration included conversations about the script and dialogue in Toronto, helping them build a natural connection. Silverstone added that spending time with Hudson on the journey to filming, along with his son Wilder, who makes his acting debut in the movie, helped create a familial and authentic dynamic on set.
