Alec Baldwin got involved in a car crash in East Hampton on Monday, 13th October, after swerving to avoid a large garbage truck, resulting in his SUV colliding with a tree. Actor Stephen Baldwin, his brother, was also involved in the tragedy, which happened on a wet and slick road. Fortunately, neither of them suffered any injuries. Alec later took to social media to explain what happened, while Stephen's Publicist also confirmed that he was "doing fine." Although both brothers are unharmed and continuing with their daily activities, the incident has garnered a lot of media attention.

Alec Baldwin claims that the collision happened on Montauk Highway in East Hampton amidst slick, and rainy circumstances. He said that he was abruptly cut off by a "garbage truck the size of a whale,” which forced him to swerve and crash into a tree in order to avoid being hit. The incident caused significant front-end damage to his wife Hilaria Baldwin's Range Rover. "I crushed my wife's car…I feel bad about that," Alec said on Instagram following the collision, expressing regret for causing damage to the vehicle.
He also acknowledged Officer Gerken for his help and complimented the East Hampton Police Department. While, Police confirmed that they responded to the scene, cited wet road conditions, and affirmed there were no injuries or summons issued.

How the Baldwin Brothers Are Doing Now
While Alec publicly confirmed his own well‑being and shared the crash details, it was Stephen's publicist who gave clarity on the younger brother's condition. "Stephen is doing fine and is grateful no one was injured," the representative stated. Additionally, they stressed that both Baldwin brothers are healthy and safe.

The two were unharmed and were seen talking to police while standing outside the severely damaged SUV in the rain, according to photos taken at the scene. After the crash, Stephen later posted a casual update of having lunch, reinforcing that he was okay and continuing with his day. Amid all the drama, neither brother faces legal trouble from the incident.
