BBC Has Extended 'The Graham Norton Show' for Three New Seasons

The BBC inked a new deal to renew 'The Graham Norton Show' through three more seasons, beginning with Season 34 in 2026. The decision comes amid consistently strong viewership and star‑studded episodes, including the latest featuring Taylor Swift.

In a major vote of confidence, the BBC has announced a three‑series extension for its flagship chat show, 'The Graham Norton Show' on 6th October. Beginning with Season 34 in 2026, the agreement guarantees that the cherished program will continue to air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer until at least 2028. This renewal will ensure the show's history in British television by allowing Graham Norton and his production company, So Television, to continue hosting A-list celebrities on the iconic red sofa for years to come.

'The Graham Norton Show' has developed into a cultural institution since its 2007 BBC Two debut. It transferred to BBC One after two seasons and has since established itself as a Friday night entertainment staple. Commenting on the renewal, Norton said, "Getting to host my own chat show is a huge pleasure as well as a privilege. I'm thrilled that the BBC are allowing me to continue for another three years." The BBC's chief of entertainment, Kalpna Patel-Knight, referred to the show as a "flagship part" of the BBC's entertainment slate and commended Norton’s talent for bringing "the world's brightest stars into the homes of the great British public."

When discussing the show’s lengthy journey from Norton's early late-night beginnings, executive producer and managing director Graham Stuart of So Television said they had "never felt like stopping." 

In the future, viewers may anticipate fresh seasons that will be full with unexpected visitors, irreverent moments, and the cozy chaos of Graham Norton's distinct interviewing style. With the renewal confirmed, supporters can be sure that the red sofa will continue to be a fixture for many more Friday nights.
