Robert Downey Jr. originally exited the MCU after his character, Tony Stark (Iron Man), met his fate in 'Avengers: Endgame.' However, the Oscar-winning actor is now making his Marvel comeback — this time in a completely new role as Doctor Victor Von Doom in 'Avengers: Doomsday.' The film is being directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, who previously helmed 'Infinity War' and 'Endgame,' marking their highly anticipated return to the Marvel franchise.
Meanwhile, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will swing back into action in 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day,' set for release on 31st July 2026. 'Avengers: Doomsday' will follow on 18th December 2026, leading into 'Avengers: Secret Wars,' slated for December 2027.
