Emily Blunt Stuns in Schiaparelli at Venice Amid Online Buzz About Her Appearance

Emily Blunt turned heads at the 82nd Venice Film Festival during the photocall for 'The Smashing Machine,' not just for her role in the film or her show-stopping fashion choice, but for a wave of online speculation surrounding her noticeably altered appearance. Nonetheless, the spotlight truly belonged to her striking ensemble — a baby blue twisted dress from Schiaparelli's Spring-Summer 2024 Ready-to-Wear Collection, masterfully crafted by the brand's creative director, Daniel Roseberry. The piece embodied the house's signature surrealist tailoring, with structured pleats that sculpted and flattered Blunt's silhouette, while delicate hammered gold brass accents adorned the straps, lending an ethereal, almost otherworldly elegance.

Emily's altered appearance is also being shared around online, with some commentators lamenting the pressure on Hollywood stars to always look flawless. One user noted, "That is…a LOT of fillers in her face," while another appreciated her gorgeous dress but added, "Love Emily and this colour is gorgeous but why do all the Hollywood women have these strange overfilled upper cheeks. It looks so odd."

This appearance wasn't simply over-the-top glamour. Blunt was in Venice promoting 'The Smashing Machine,' a raw and emotionally powerful biographical drama co-starring Dwayne Johnson. She was already receiving recognition for her realistic portrayal in the movie and her relationship with Johnson. She plays the role of the wrestler-turned-MMA fighter in the film.

She remains unique in a sea of celebrity fashion icons, not only because of her wardrobe choices but also because of the way she accessorizes them.
