Frankenstein: An Emotional Reimagining

Del Toro's upcoming 'Frankenstein' adaptation promises to offer a fresh perspective on the classic tale. Although del Toro called the picture "very emotive," he made it clear that it is not meant to be a conventional horror film. Rather, the complicated ties between characters—especially the maker and his creation—will be the main focus. The director, who sees the story as an examination of issues like identity and parenting, has stated a personal connection to it. Oscar Isaac plays Victor Frankenstein in the movie, while Jacob Elordi plays the renowned monster.

The casting of Elordi was a result of a last-minute change, with del Toro having only nine weeks to transform him into the creature after Andrew Garfield's departure from the role. Despite the tight timeline, del Toro expressed confidence in Elordi's suitability for the part, praising their strong collaborative dynamic. 'Frankenstein,' which had its world premiere at Venice last month, will debut in select theaters on 17th October, and 7th November, on Netflix.

As details continue to emerge, audiences eagerly await the release of these films, expected to make a significant impact on the cinematic landscape.
