Here Are the 2025 American Music Awards Winners

After a two-year break, the American Music Awards returned on May 26 with a star-studded ceremony held at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas. The show was hosted by Jennifer Lopez and featured several high-profile performances and special recognitions.

Janet Jackson received this year’s Icon Award, Rod Stewart was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award, and Zac Brown was presented with the first-ever Veterans Voice Award.
Leading into the event, Kendrick Lamar topped the list with 10 nominations, followed by Post Malone with eight. Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, and Shaboozey each earned seven nods, while Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Morgan Wallen, Sabrina Carpenter, SZA, and Taylor Swift were all tied with six nominations.

Billie Eilish emerged as the evening’s most awarded artist, winning in all seven of her nominated categories, including Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year. Although she did not attend the event in person, she expressed her gratitude through video messages to fans.
Gracie Abrams was named New Artist of the Year. In a notable upset, Eminem took home the awards for Favourite Male Hip-Hop Artist and Favourite Hip-Hop Album, edging out Kendrick Lamar. Beyoncé was recognized in the country categories, winning Favourite Female Country Artist and Favourite Country Album, while Post Malone earned the title of Favourite Male Country Artist. SZA took home both Favourite R&B Song and Favourite Female R&B Artist.

The ceremony also included performances from Jennifer Lopez, Janet Jackson, and Rod Stewart, along with appearances by Benson Boone, Gwen Stefani, Reneé Rapp, Blake Shelton, and others.
