Cassandra Naud is stepping back into her chilling role as CW, the killer travel influencer whose dark past refuses to stay buried. 'Influencers,' the highly anticipated follow-up to Shudder's 2023 thriller 'Influencer,' promises another stylish and suspenseful ride filled with obsession, deceit, and murder across glamorous international backdrops.

What is 'Influencers' About?

In the new film, CW is living a seemingly peaceful life in the sun-soaked countryside of southern France with her girlfriend, Diane, played by Lisa Delamar. Beneath the surface of this idyllic existence, however, she continues to hide a dangerous fixation with murder and stolen identities. Her world is thrown into chaos when she crosses paths with Charlotte, portrayed by 'Barbarian' star Georgina Campbell—a bold and curious influencer whose relentless curiosity quickly becomes a deadly threat.

Naud, who returns to lead the sequel, expressed immense excitement about reprising the complex and captivating role of CW. She felt thrilled when director Kurtis David Harder shared the first pages of the script, describing the opportunity to reunite with the creative team and film across stunning international locations as a deeply rewarding experience.

The production took the cast and crew from North America to the South of France, Paris, and even Bali. Alongside Cassandra Naud and Campbell, the film also features Emily Tennant, Jonathan Whitesell, Veronica Long, and Dylan Playfair.

Cassandra Naud on Working in 'Influencers'

Naud explained that the sequel was designed to elevate every aspect of the story—from performance to production—and believes the team has crafted a film that will leave audiences stunned. She described CW as a character who continues to challenge her as an actor, calling the role both empowering and transformative. Despite CW's sinister tendencies, Naud admitted she admires the character's intelligence and composure, qualities she aspires to embody in her own life—without the deadly impulses, of course.

Director and writer Kurtis David Harder, returning from the first film, has teased that viewers can expect a high-octane, globe-trotting psychological thriller that expands the 'Influencers' universe in unexpected ways. He praised Naud's performance, noting that she brings depth, charisma, and intensity to the character that anchors the story's dark allure.
