The 'Euphoria' star revealed that an unusual diet of Chick-fil-A, milkshakes, and protein-heavy meals fueled her physical transformation.

The film had its world premiere at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival recently, where Sydney Sweeney walked the red carpet alongside Martin herself. At 27, the actress explained that she spent months preparing for the role, adhering to a rigorous daily training schedule. Her routine included sessions with boxing coaches, weight trainers, and nutritionists, often working out up to three times a day—even during filming.

Fat Food is Now Sydney Sweeney's Diet

Director David Michôd highlighted that fast food became part of the process, and Sweeney confirmed her diet leaned heavily on fast food favourites, shakes, and protein-packed snacks. She described the transformation as both demanding and rewarding, allowing her to truly embody the strength of the boxing champion.

The premiere audience rewarded the film with a standing ovation, moving Sydney Sweeney to tears on stage. She expressed how much it meant to tell Martin's story, describing the boxer as one of the most inspiring figures she has ever worked alongside. Having the athlete present during the production made the process even more meaningful, though also intimidating, as Sweeney wanted to ensure she honoured Martin's legacy.

What is 'Christy' About?
