This transformation highlights Megan’s recurring snake motif as she engulfs Kasamatsu in a dramatic, sensual sequence. As the video progresses, Megan, embodying the viper, preys on gangsters at the spa, sneaking up on them in a steamy pit before their untimely demise.

The narrative culminates with Megan and Chiba preparing the deceased for inclusion in Megan’s own blue-faced army, a sequence that nods to Japanese filmmaker Akira Kurosawa’s film ‘Dreams’.

The ‘Mamushi’ video also features Megan’s viral choreography, which gained popularity on TikTok in late June. This choreography was a highlight of her Hot Girl Summer tour, which started in

Minneapolis. Megan also performed the song with Chiba for the first time during her final tour stop in London. Megan’s social media announcement about the video’s release was met with enthusiasm, despite a slight delay due to technical difficulties. She urged her fans to “run it up” and enjoy the new visual experience.
