Miley Cyrus Confirms Engagement with Maxx Morando

After almost four years together, pop sensation Miley Cyrus, 33, and musician Maxx Morando, 27, are now formally engaged. The news broke, following their appearance at the international premiere of 'Avatar: Fire and Ash' on 1st December, when Cyrus was spotted wearing an eye-catching diamond ring. Designed by Jeweler Jacquie Aiche, the custom ring has a broad 14-karat yellow gold band with a cushion-cut diamond set east to west. The diamond is probably between 4 and 5 carats, and experts put its value between US$150,000 and US$450,000.

Cyrus and Morando first connected via a blind date, made public in late 2021, and confirmed their romance in April 2022. Over time, the couple have kept things mostly private—until now. According to Cyrus, Morando proposed earlier this month during a trip to Asia, surprising her despite her usual desire to control situations. "I was so, so, so surprised," she said.

The "Black Friday Deal" Joke

The talk show host congratulated Cyrus on her engagement when she appeared on the latest episode of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' show on 4th December. He joked that her fiancé might have waited three weeks so he wouldn't need a Christmas present. In response, Cyrus flashed the ring and quipped, "This was [a] Black Friday deal, baby." She quickly followed up with laughter, adding, "It wasn't, but he was smart that way. It might have been. I'm not sure."
