Nick Jonas is reportedly in final negotiations to take on the role of Paul Stanley, co-founder and frontman of the legendary rock band KISS, in the upcoming biopic titled ‘Shout It Out Loud’.

The biopic will chronicle the rise of KISS, the New York-based band that first emerged in the 1970s and became known for its flamboyant glam-rock style, iconic face paint, and explosive stage shows featuring pyrotechnics, blood-spitting, and smoke effects. The band rose to fame with popular tracks like ‘Rock and Roll All Nite’ and ‘Deuce’.

Darren Lemke penned the most recent draft of the script. Development of the project has involved direct input from KISS members and key music executives, including Jody Gerson of Universal Music Publishing Group and Bruce Resnikoff of Universal Music Group, who oversee the band’s music rights globally. David Blackman of Polygram also played a key role in shaping the project.

The film will be produced by Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley themselves, along with Mark Canton and Doc McGhee. Additional producers and executive producers include Gerson, Blackman, Leigh Ann Burton, McG and his Wonderland Sound and Vision partner Mary Viola, David Hopwood, Courtney Solomon, and Dorothy Canton. Sweden-based entertainment company Pophouse — which owns the global rights to the KISS name and likeness — is also involved.

Nick Jonas Taps into Music and Film Roots for Paul Stanley Role

Jonas, who is represented by UTA and Schreck Rose, brings his own musical background to the role. As a member of the Jonas Brothers and a solo artist with hits like ‘Jealous’, he has extensive experience in both music and performance. His previous film credits include appearances in the ‘Jumanji’ franchise, and he is set to star alongside Paul Rudd in John Carney’s upcoming film ‘Power Ballad’ for Lionsgate.
