According to Cregger, rather than explicitly rehashing or depending on characters from earlier films, such as Leon S. Kennedy, the film will return to the horror foundations of the original 'Resident Evil' games, introducing new characters and storylines.
It is anticipated that the tone would be gritty and truer to the spirit of the video games.
Release Date & Legacy of 'Resident Evil'
