'Superman' Star David Corenswet Makes Red Carpet Debut with Wife Julia Best Warner

David Corenswet and Julia Best Warner made their first official red carpet appearance as a couple recently, stepping out for the world premiere of 'Superman' at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. The event marked a milestone for the couple, who quietly married in 2023 and welcomed their first child earlier in 2024.

Corenswet, 32, suited up in a classic navy pinstripe ensemble, complete with a blue-and-white shirt and coordinating knit tie. Beside him, Warner turned heads in a sleeveless sage green gown with a high neckline, accessorised with delicate jewellery and soft bangs framing her face.

The couple’s public appearance comes at a pivotal moment in Corenswet’s career, as he leads the latest DC reboot as the iconic 'Superman'. He recently shared how his personal life intersected with his professional one, revealing that he learned he was screen-testing for 'Superman' just two days before finding out he and Warner were expecting their first child.

During the early stages of her pregnancy, the couple kept both pieces of news private, making the shared experience even more intense. At the time, they leaned on each other for support as they navigated two major life changes in total secrecy.

Adding a lighthearted note, David Corenswet said both he and Warner underwent physical transformations—she gained about 40 pounds during her pregnancy, while he bulked up by the same amount to prepare for his 'Superman' role. The actor even joked that he ended up using her pregnancy pillow due to his newfound snoring.

The Hollywood premiere also featured appearances by 'Superman' co-stars Rachel Brosnahan, who dazzled in a sequined purple Ralph Lauren gown as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult, who portrays Lex Luthor in sleek black leather pants and a statement tie. Director James Gunn and DC Studios co-CEO Peter Safran were also in attendance.

David Corenswet, who follows in the footsteps of 'Superman' actors like Henry Cavill and Christopher Reeve, has received encouragement—but not direct advice—from past stars. Both Cavill and 'Superman & Lois' star Tyler Hoechlin offered their support, choosing not to guide him too heavily and instead leaving space for him to define the role on his terms.

'Superman' hits theatres on 11th July, marking a new chapter for the beloved superhero—and for David Corenswet, both on-screen and off.
