Fans won't have to wait until 'Interview With the Vampire'—rebranding as 'The Vampire Lestat' for its third season in 2026—to hear Lestat de Lioncourt's music. Sam Reid's portrayal of the charismatic vampire rock star will make its first appearance in AMC's new Anne Rice Immortal Universe spin-off, 'Talamasca: The Secret Order,' as an Easter egg in episode 5.
Co-showrunner Mark Lafferty explained that attentive viewers might catch Lestat's music playing subtly through the speakers of a bar, offering a clever tie-in to the upcoming 'The Vampire Lestat' series.
The Immortal Universe, launched by 'Interview With the Vampire' in 2022, will officially shift the title to 'The Vampire Lestat' for season 3, centring on Lestat's rise as a rock star. Reid's character not only takes over the story but also the show's title, reflecting his iconic role in Anne Rice's novels.

What Will 'Talamasca: The Secret Order' Offer?
'Talamasca: The Secret Order,' AMC's third series in the Immortal Universe following 'Interview With the Vampire' and 'Mayfair Witches,' premieres with two episodes on 26th October on AMC and AMC+. The show focuses on the shadowy organisation Talamasca, which monitors and manages supernatural beings like vampires and witches.
Unlike the previous series, Talamasca presents an entirely original story, following new character Guy Anatole, played by Nicholas Denton, as he is recruited into the order to undertake a covert mission that threatens the fragile balance between mortals and immortals.

Executive producer Mark Johnson, overseeing the Immortal Universe, emphasised that even die-hard fans won't know exactly what to expect, since Talamasca's inner workings were never fully explored in Rice's novels. Johnson noted that the series was inspired by recurring mentions of the organisation in earlier shows and books, and he envisioned it as a dramatic, supernatural take reminiscent of 'Men in Black,' but without the comedy.
Crossovers in 'Talamasca: The Secret Order'
In addition to Lestat's musical Easter egg, 'Talamasca: The Secret Order' includes two other crossovers from 'Interview With the Vampire' in its six-episode first season. Eric Bogosian reprises his role as journalist Daniel Molloy in the series premiere, while Justin Kirk returns as the Talamasca agent Raglan James in episode 4, adding continuity and intrigue for dedicated fans.
