David Bowie’s Iconic Album ‘Aladdin Sane’ is Set For it's 50th Anniversary Reissue
David Bowie’s 1973 iconic album ‘Aladdin Sane’ is set for a special 50th anniversary reissue. The reissue, which is set to be released on 14th April, will be put out as a half-speed mastered LP and a picture disc LP pressed from the same master. It's the follow-up to 1972’s ‘The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars’. ‘Aladdin Sane’ was produced in the wake of his post-Ziggy stardom, most of the tracks were written while he was on tour in the US. According to a statement, the new pressing was “cut on a customised late Neumann VMS80 lathe with fully recapped electronics from 192kHz restored masters of the original master tapes, with no additional processing on transfer.” John Webber at London’s AIR Studios cut the half-speed record.
50 Cent Reveals He's Working on ‘8 Mile’ TV Show With Eminem
50 Cent announced that he is collaborating with Eminem to adapt the 2002 film ‘8 Mile’ into a TV series. “I’m gonna bring his 8 Mile to television,” the rapper said in an interview. “We’re in motion”, he said before confirming Eminem’s involvement. “It’s gonna be big. I ain’t got no duds. I’m battin’ a hundred, I’m battin’ a hundred,” he continued, seemingly referring to his Starz series ‘Power’ as well as its various spinoffs ‘Power Book II: Ghost’, ‘Power Book III: Raising Kanan’ and ‘Power Book IV: Force’. The rapper also had a role in the 2020 ABC legal drama ‘For Life’ for the entirety of its two-season run.
Eminem Turned Down $8 Million Fee For World Cup Performance
Eminem reportedly turned down $8million to perform at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. 50 Cent recently confirmed this. The FIFA World Cup received widespread criticism ever since it kicked off in November. This happened after many migrant workers died in the creation of stadiums and the country's views on homosexuality. 50 Cent claimed that the duo were asked to perform a duet in the tournament but they refused. “Because of the Super Bowl, I got an inquiry about the World Cup and they had a budget of $9million,” 50 Cent stated. “I would’ve taken one and then the other eight would have been for him.” 50 Cent was a surprise guest at the 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show, which was headlined by Eminem, Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg and Mary J. Blige.
Twenty One Pilots Announce ‘Vessel’ Vinyl Box Set For It’s 10th Anniversary
Twenty One Pilots have announced the release of ‘Vessel’ vinyl box set to celebrate its 10th anniversary. ‘Vessel’ was the first Twenty One Pilots album to be released by Fueled By Ramen. The album features multiple songs including ‘Ode to Sleep’, ‘Holding on to You’, ‘House of Gold’, ‘Car Radio’, ‘Guns For Hands’ and ‘Trees’. All of these songs were on their previous album ‘Regional At Best’ but were re-recorded for ‘Vessel’. Side A and Side B of the vinyl box set will include the original album track list. Apart from that, Side C will feature four live tracks recorded during a hometown gig at The LC Pavilion in Columbus, Ohio. Side D, finally, will include songs initially released on ‘Regional At Best’, like ‘Forest’, ‘Glowing Eyes’, ‘Kitchen Sink’ and ‘Lovely’. The band has also announced a ‘Vessel’ 10-year merch collection, which is inspired by the album’s artwork. The collection includes t-shirts, hoodies and sweatshirts.
