2023 has been a great year for Miley Cyrus so far! After a successful New Year’s bash in Miami, she has now released a new single ‘Flowers’ from her upcoming album ‘Endless Summer Vacation’. Even though Miley has not confirmed who the song is about, fans believe the inspiration is her breakup with Liam Hemsworth. Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth were married for about half a year and the separation definitely impacted her a lot. What adds fuel to the fire is the fact that the song was released on Hemsworth’s 33rd birthday.  The singer also references the house the couple shared, which burnt down in 2018. She sings, “We were good, we were gold / Kind of dream that can’t be sold / We were right ’til we weren’t / Built a home and watched it burn.” The song talks about Miley learning to love herself better than any man did. The catchy chorus is all about self love: “I can buy myself flowers / Write my name in the sand / Talk to myself for hours / Say things you don’t understand / I can take myself dancing / And I can hold my own hand / Yeah, I can love me better than you can.”

Austin Butler and Zendaya emerged victorious at the 2023 Golden Globe Awards. They have now been nominated for Screen Actors Guild Awards which will take place on 26th February. Austin Butler was nominated for outstanding performance by a male actor in a leading role for his portrayal of Elvis Presley in Baz Luhrmann’s 2022 biopic of the music icon. Zendaya scored a nomination for outstanding performance by a female actor in a drama series for her second season as Rue in ‘Euphoria’. Both the actors are being nominated for a SAG award for the first time. The film nominations were dominated by ‘The Banshees of Inisherin’ and ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ with 5 nominations each. Series ‘Ozark’ and ‘Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story’ dominated the TV nods, as they were each nominated in 4 categories. 

Harry Styles has been working on his acting career recently, and he is definitely acing it! He is now a part of the Marvel Universe. Nate Moore, who co-produced Marvel’s 2021 movie ‘Eternals’, teased further projects with Harry Styles‘ character of Starfox (aka Eros) from the movie. He recently talked about Starfox in a podcast called ‘Crew Call’ which was produced by ‘Deadline’. When asked if Styles’ presence in the movie was only a stunt, Moore stated that they “certainly didn’t cast Harry for a tag”. “There are more stories to be told with that character,” said Moore. “He’s fascinating. He has a really interesting connection with Thanos — they’re half-brothers, they share the same father. He has an interesting power set… he’s a complicated character, but a really fun character.”
