BigHit Updates Fans on SUGA of BTS’ Health Issues

SUGA of BTS will be absent from the group's upcoming promotions

Sad news reaches fans of BTS today. The group’s management, BigHit Labels, have released a statement clarifying the status of and updating fans on rapper, SUGA’s, current health. Further, the statement intimated fans that the 26 year old rapper will be absent from the group’s upcoming album promotions.

The statement reached ARMY, fans of BTS, via a post on the online forum, Weverse. BigHit Labels wrote, “SUGA underwent surgery to repair his torn shoulder labrum on November 3. The surgery, to address a problem that had constantly been a health and wellness issue for SUGA, was completed successfully.” Further, they wrote, “He must undergo a strict and unhindered period of recovery”.

The incident referred to in the statement was a bike accident that SUGA was in back in 2012. The accident took place while the rapper was carrying out his work as a delivery boy at the time. The result was a dislocated shoulder. However, constant strain, intense choreography and more, caused the problem to worsen, leading to necessary surgery.

The statement further featured a message from SUGA himself. The rapper said, “Please understand this time as being my chance to prepare to meet you again strong and healthy. And, even if I must be away for a short while, please wait for me to come back to you.”

BTS are currently preparing for their upcoming release, a full-length studio album titled, “BE (Deluxe Edition)”. The album is slated for release on the 20th of November, 2020.
