Dua Lipa’s Dreamy ‘Levitating’ Teaser Leaves You Desiring More

In the lead up to the release of Dua Lipa’s “Club Future Nostalgia” remix album, she unveiled her list of collaborators. Perhaps the most anticipated track on this edition of the album is ‘Levitating’ as after all, it boasts of a string of powerful musicians from the likes of  The Blessed Madonna, Madonna and Missy Elliott.

Further, ‘Levitating’ will also be treated to its very own music video. Dua took to social media to share a teaser of it and we can firmly say that it’s quite the visual spectacle. The clip opens with a shot of the young star lying in a bed of roses under blood-red lighting. What follows is a series of dream-like sequences. We witness endless crop fields, buzzing televisions and a ghostly Dua standing in a dazzling silver dress under a foggy sky. The star simply captioned the teaser with, “13TH AUG. LEVITATING REMIX @MISSYMISDEMEANORELLIOTT @MADONNA @THEBLESSEDMADONNA 9AM LA / 12PM NY / 5PM LONDON”

Dua Lipa Creates Magic with Visuals

Now, the original cut of “Future Nostalgia” has been accompanied by some superb music videos. The music video for her funky, sultry number ‘Physical‘ boasted of grand sets and a brilliant integration of animation with real-life footage. The visuals were treated to vibrant colour palettes and dreamy camera-work, all capturing the essence of the track perfectly. Not long after, Dua also dropped the animated music video for ‘Hallucinate‘. Drawing influence from the disco aesthetics of the 1970s, the visual for this track was as mind-boggling as the title suggests. Featuring charming, quirky characters, the video sees an animated version of Dua traverse through multiple psychedelic landscapes. And this goes to prove that with every new visual, Dua chooses to bring something fresh to the table, both in terms of style and storytelling.

Now, while Dua’s first three collaborators will take the stage tomorrow, her other collaborative tracks will arrive along with the album on August 28th. On the list of her “idols” are also Mark Ronson and Gwen Stefani, who will bring their own flavour to Dua’s ‘Physical’. We have no further updates on any other special guests set to feature on the album as Dua has chosen to hold her cards close to her chest.

In her words, the album is also set to offer “many more surprises”. Nothing like leaving behind an element of suspense, eh?
