Fortnite May Add Bonus Skin for Unexpected Star Wars Character

Jar Jar Binks is officially coming to Fortnite—but he might not be arriving alone. While Epic Games has already confirmed that the fan-favourite Gungan will receive a Fortnite skin, fresh leaks suggest that players could be getting even more Jar Jar-themed cosmetics than initially expected.

In 2025, Epic Games and Disney launched what has been called Fortnite’s most ambitious Star Wars collaboration to date. The event not only introduced new content across both Battle Royale and LEGO Fortnite modes but also featured the global premiere of Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld, shown exclusively on a dedicated Creative Island.

This massive crossover brought with it the first-ever Star Wars-themed mini-Battle Pass. Epic redesigned large portions of the Battle Royale experience to match the Star Wars universe, with themed locations, characters, and an arsenal drawn entirely from the iconic franchise. This limited-time event runs through June 7, and during that window, the number of Star Wars skins has grown significantly—with more still on the way.

Among the most talked-about additions is Darth Jar Jar Binks, an alternate, villainous take on the character inspired by a long-standing fan theory. He was featured prominently in the trailer for the current Galactic Battle season and appears in promotional art, yet the skin hasn’t appeared in-game just yet.

However, dataminers who have explored the latest game files suggest that Darth Jar Jar may not be the only version of the character. In LEGO Fortnite, two skins reportedly share the same distinct eye structure—one that clearly matches Jar Jar’s unique look. Given how recognizable his design is, speculation is growing that a second Jar Jar skin might be on the way.

When Will the Jar Jar Skins Be Available?

While Epic has not provided an official release date, an upcoming Fortnite update scheduled for Thursday, May 15 could shed more light on when players can expect the Jar Jar cosmetics to drop. Fans should keep an eye on patch notes and leaks, as further details are likely to surface around then.

For now, it’s unclear whether these Jar Jar skins will be included in the Battle Pass, offered in the Item Shop, or unlocked through special challenges. But with the Galactic Battle season set to end on June 7, players can reasonably expect the Gungan’s arrival to happen sometime before then.
