Lil Nas X Announces New Song ‘Star Walkin’’ From Collaboration With ‘League Of Legends’

Lil Nas X has recorded a brand-new song called ‘Star Walkin’’ specifically for the 2022 League of Legends World tournament, as reported by the game’s developer, Riot Games.

‘Star Walkin’’ will be released just a few days before the start of the tournament in Mexico City. Additionally, Lil Nas X has revealed that he will play a live set at the League of Legends Worlds Finals at San Francisco’s Chase Center.

Ahead of his performance, a skin for the future League of Legends champion named K’Sante, The Pride Of Nazumah, designed by Lil Nas X and Riot Games, will be made available.

On 3rd November, ‘Prestige Empyrean K’Sante’ will be made available, and players have until 14th November to acquire the Worlds 2022 Tokens necessary to activate it.

“I felt like it was time for me to try something new,” shared Lil Nas X in a statement. “I’ve left my mark on pop culture in so many ways, and now it’s time to take on the world of gaming.”

“I will be the greatest president of League of Legends, of all time,” the musician continued. “Also, I’m going to make the best Worlds anthem of all time and put on the biggest, coolest, sexiest Worlds in the history of all Worlds! ‘Star Walkin’’ is the only song anyone is allowed to listen to from now on.”

Lil Nas X’s vision, enthusiasm and irresistible style have blown the team away according to Naz Aletaha, global head of League esports at Riot.

The latest in a long series of musical partnerships for Riot, is their work with Lil Nas X. While Imagine Dragons released the 2014 Worlds anthem ‘Warriors,’ PVRIS, Pusha T and Denzel Curry provided the soundtrack for the OTT series, ‘Arcane’ a League of Legends show which debuted in 2021.
