Queen of Pop Needs Some Time Off

he Queen of Pop, Madonna, cancelled her Lisbon concert with just 45 minutes notice prior to the show. This is the eight tour date on the Madame X world tour to be cancelled. The pop icon apologised for pulling out of the show, making the announcement via Twitter – “Thank you again, Lisbon! Sorry, I had to cancel tonight but I must listen to my body and rest!! That white port got me through the rest of the show! See you on Tuesday fingers crossed.”

An email was sent to fans at 7:45 pm on Sunday and stated that the artist would not be performing in Portugal’s Coliseu Dis Recreios theatre, where she was about to take the stage at 8:30 p.m. Madonna is due to perform at the same venue on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday before the Madame X tour kicks off in London.

The star took to her Instagram last week to share a video of pre-show prep while wearing a knee brace. The video was captioned – “How an injured Madame X warms up for a show,” ……….”Very carefully.”
