More on Amber Heard's 'Spirit of the People'
'Spirit of the People' explores themes of land, destruction, and identity, with Harris describing it as one of his most creatively challenging works yet. Half of the play is written in Spanish, adding a unique layer to the production. Harris shared that stepping outside his comfort zone was a deliberate choice, allowing him to experiment with new forms of writing beyond the structure of his hit Slave Play.
This role marks Heard’s first acting project since 2023, when she appeared in the movie 'In the Fire' and reprised her role as Mera in 'Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom'. Since then, she has relocated to Madrid and recently revealed that she welcomed twins, Agnes and Ocean, earlier this year. She’s also a proud mom to her four-year-old daughter, Oonagh Paige, who continues to be a bright and joyful presence in her life.
