A fan of BTS was reportedly taken into custody after she allegedly tried to break into Jungkook’s residence in Seoul, shortly after his release from mandatory military service on 11th June. The woman had travelled from China and was later seen on security footage attempting to unlock the door to his apartment by entering random codes on the keypad.

Authorities arrested her at approximately 3:20pm BST. At the time of reporting, neither Jungkook nor his agency HYBE and Big Hit Music had issued any public statements regarding the incident. It also remains unclear what legal consequences the woman might face.

Jungkook and fellow bandmate Jimin completed their military duties on the same day, marking their return after two years of service. Earlier, RM and V were discharged on 10th June, while Jin and J-Hope completed their service in 2023, in June and October respectively. Suga, who is serving as a social service agent—an alternative form of military duty—is expected to conclude his service later this month.

With all members nearing the end of their service, speculation around BTS’ much-anticipated comeback continues to build. The group, which went on hiatus in 2022 to focus on individual activities and fulfil national duties, is expected to reunite soon.

BTS Members Tease Powerful Reunion and Comeback

V recently hinted at a return, stating that fans wouldn’t have to wait much longer and that the band planned to deliver an impressive performance. In an earlier interview with Apple Music 1, J-Hope mentioned that the group was eager to reunite and discuss the future of BTS, adding that the energy would be immense once they were back together.

He also shared with Weverse Magazine last December that the group’s reunion would be impactful, expressing his excitement about performing again and confidently stating that BTS intended to return in style.
