Reflecting on what makes the franchise so iconic, she pointed to its unapologetically wild premise: beautiful people meeting gruesome ends with no attempt at moral lessons. To her, that blend of glamour and chaos is exactly the appeal.

 Charli XCX believes the films succeed no matter the cast, but she has ideas for shaking things up. She floated the concept of a fresh take—a version of ‘Final Destination’ centred around modern-day cultural icons. In her vision, a new film would cast influencers and trendsetters like Rachel Sennott, Alex Consani, Gabbriette, Romy Mars, Quenlin Blackwell, Devon Lee Carlson—and of course, herself.
