An exclusive clip from 'Limitless With Chris Hemsworth' shows Chris Hemsworth taking on an unexpected task — learning the drums for a surprise spot at an Ed Sheeran concert.
In August last year, Chris Hemsworth joined Sheeran on stage at Romania’s National Arena in front of 70,000 fans, performing on drums for 'Thinking Out Loud' before being humorously awarded a trophy for “drumming excellence.” The moment was part of season two of the National Geographic series, which returns later this month.
The clip reveals Hemsworth’s very first drum lesson with instructor Ben Jordan, where he struggles with the fundamentals of keeping a simple beat. Jordan remarks that while it’s rare to find something Chris Hemsworth isn’t naturally good at, drumming might be one of those rare exceptions.

Season two’s opening episode focuses on the actor’s journey to master the instrument in just a few months, preparing for the high-pressure task of performing live alongside one of the world’s biggest music stars. The challenge also connects to the show’s theme of exploring ways to boost cognitive health, with research suggesting that learning a new skill can improve memory and brain function.
The first season of 'Limitless', which aired in 2022, revealed through genetic testing that Chris Hemsworth carries a predisposition for Alzheimer’s disease, significantly increasing his lifetime risk. The actor has since addressed public misconceptions, explaining that while the news was personal and challenging, it did not signal an immediate diagnosis or early retirement.

'Limitless With Chris Hemsworth' premieres on 15th August on Hulu in the US and Disney+ in the UK. On the big screen, Hemsworth is confirmed to reprise his role as Thor in 'Avengers: Doomsday', which he describes as the beginning of a new chapter for the character, despite Marvel’s plans to refresh its roster after 'Avengers: Secret Wars' in 2027.
