In a moment that’s equal parts triumphant and breathtakingly stylish, Beyoncé has officially added an Emmy to her glittering collection—her very first. The recognition comes in the juried category for Outstanding Costumes for Variety, Nonfiction or Reality Programming, awarded for her ‘Beyoncé Bowl’ Christmas-Day NFL halftime show special on Netflix.

The Baltimore Ravens vs. Houston Texans game on 25th December of last year featured a star-studded halftime show that was incredibly elegant with a Western theme. In a daring holiday show, Beyoncé and her crew dressed up in hundreds of dazzling white fringe outfits, replete with glittering belt buckles and cowboy hats.
Her accomplishment is shared with an outstanding design team, which includes costume designer Shiona Turini, assistants Erica Rice and Molly Peters, supervisor Chelsea Staebell, and head of the workroom, Timothy White. This Emmy, a juried award determined by peer panels instead of traditional voting, reflects the high craftsmanship behind the scenes.
Hollywood Welcomes Beyoncé, Emmy-Style
With her victory, Beyoncé becomes one step closer to earning the coveted EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony) title. She has already won 35 Grammys, and she just needs to win an Oscar and a Tony. The narrative doesn't stop there, as 'Beyoncé Bowl' is nominated for two additional Emmys in the main Primetime ceremony: Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special and Outstanding Variety Special (Live). The winners will be revealed later this year.
