Comedian Matt Rife has officially become the new legal guardian of one of the most iconic paranormal collections in modern history. Rife, known for his viral stand-up like 'Lucid', shared that he and ghost hunter Elton Castee bought the home of late paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, including their famous Occult Museum.

The acquisition includes guardianship of the Warrens' full collection of allegedly haunted artefacts, including the notorious Annabelle doll, which inspired the 'Conjuring' film universe. Rife and Castee will take care of the whole collection for the next five years.

Matt Rife Has a Fascination For Paranormal

Matt Rife shared his excitement over the purchase through a social media post, where he explained that his fascination with the paranormal and haunted lore made this a dream come true. He noted that the 'Conjuring' films are among his favourite horror movies and described it as a personal honour to take ownership of a property so deeply embedded in paranormal history.

The Warrens were pioneers in bringing demonology and supernatural investigations into mainstream culture. Their work inspired many horror movies, like 'The Conjuring' series and 'The Amityville Horror'. The couple’s Connecticut home, where the Occult Museum is located, was once open to the public before closing in 2019 due to zoning regulations.

Matt Rife Will Restore Public Access to The Museum

Matt Rife and Castee plan to reopen the famous site to the public.

They intend to launch overnight stays and guided tours, allowing fans and paranormal enthusiasts to experience the eerie atmosphere and storied objects up close. Their goal is to create a space where people can explore the haunted history tied to the Warrens’ legacy in a safe, informative, and immersive way.

The timing of the announcement aligns perfectly with the upcoming release of 'The Conjuring: Last Rites', the final instalment in the horror franchise, which hits theatres on 5th September. The film follows the chilling Smurl case, and its latest trailer dropped just days before Rife’s reveal, reigniting fan interest in the real-life inspirations behind the cinematic universe.

With Matt Rife and Elton Castee at the helm, the Warrens’ Occult Museum is poised for a new chapter—one that invites a new generation to explore the mysteries that have captivated paranormal believers for decades.
