Travis Kelce may be eyeing a future in acting once his NFL career winds down. In the reently released episode of 'New Heights with Jason & Travis Kelce,' the Kansas City Chiefs star reflected on his experience working with Adam Sandler on the set of 'Happy Gilmore 2'. Kelce described Sandler as warm, genuine and incredibly supportive, adding that he remains grateful for being given the small role of a hotel waiter in the movie. He even joked to George Clooney that the film would have been even better if Clooney had taken the part instead.
Clooney responded in a playful tone, insisting he would have made an excellent waiter and revealing that he was never approached to appear in the golf comedy.
Travis Kelce's Acting Plans
The conversation quickly shifted when George Clooney asked Kelce if acting might become a more serious pursuit once he eventually steps away from football. Clooney wondered whether Kelce planned to move further into show business after retirement.

Travis Kelce admitted he's open to the idea, explaining that he would happily take any opportunity offered by childhood heroes like Sandler. He noted that while he is unsure of his acting range, he is always ready to bring enthusiasm, teamwork and energy to any set. Clooney said he was excited by the possibility and encouraged Kelce to keep exploring the entertainment world.
Travis Kelce's Screen Appearances
Kelce's growing interest in acting comes after multiple on-screen appearances. In addition to his role in 'Happy Gilmore 2', released in July, he also played Ed Laclan in the FX horror thriller 'Grotesquerie.' Sandler, who reprised his role as Happy Gilmore for the Netflix sequel, has long shared a friendship with Clooney, who recalled decades of playing basketball with him and described collaborating with Sandler as a joyful experience.
