'Ready or Not 2' Trailer: Sarah Michelle Gellar Hunts Samara Weaving and Kathryn Newton

Samara Weaving is back in survival mode as the first trailer for 'Ready or Not 2: Here I Come' arrives, revealing a fresh lineup of dangerous and eccentric enemies. Released on 3rd December, the trailer highlights Weaving’s return as Grace, who once again finds herself battling for her life after the chaos of her disastrous wedding night.

The sequel 'Ready or Not 2' expands the universe with an impressive new cast, including Kathryn Newton, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Elijah Wood, Sean Hatosy, Néstor Carbonell, Kevin Durand, Olivia Cheng and filmmaker David Cronenberg.

What Does 'Ready or Not 2' Bring?

This time, Grace is thrust immediately into a higher-stakes version of the deadly game, now joined by her estranged sister Faith, played by Newton. As the sinister competition escalates, four rival families target Grace in a violent power struggle for control of a global ruling council. Her only path to survival involves protecting her sister and fighting for a seat that determines the fate of the world.

'Ready or Not 2' Directors Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, the team known as Radio Silence, expressed pride in the film's ensemble, noting that every actor contributed unique energy that enhances the sequel’s blend of horror, dark comedy and unpredictable character dynamics. They also emphasised that 'Ready or Not 2' is tightly connected to the first film while pushing Grace into new and even more unsettling territory. Their goal was to deliver a continuation that feels both fresh and meaningful, crafted with fans in mind.

Weaving has described the upcoming sequel 'Ready or Not 2' as wildly chaotic, hinting that the story takes bold turns that are both surprising and a natural evolution from the original film. The 2019 hit 'Ready or Not' introduced audiences to Grace's brutal fight for survival and starred Adam Brody, Andie MacDowell, Henry Czerny and others.

'Ready or Not 2: Here I Come' is set to debut in theatres in spring 2026.
