Gunn underlined how closely the saga relates to the DC Universe's past. The upcoming 'Peacemaker Season 2' will immediately follow the 'Superman' movie and set the stage for the saga's wider arc. It will premiere on HBO Max on 21st August. He clarified that this is a part of a bigger plan to integrate characters and stories into a single DC Universe, not merely a stand-alone Superman sequel.

Fans can't wait to see where this extended universe will go and how Superman's tale will develop. Gunn's statement is notable for its methodical approach, as he has taken his time to develop a solid narrative framework before rushing into a sequel. His statement that the treatment is 'very, very worked out' points to a definite vision, one that probably strikes a balance between character growth and the grandiose scope that superhero fans are used to.
