The upcoming 'Street Fighter' movie is coming out swinging, and fans just got their first exciting look at the action-packed adaptation. The debut footage was revealed during the 2025 Game Awards at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles on 11th December, giving audiences an early taste of what's to come.
About 'Street Fighter'
Directed by Kitao Sakurai, the film is set in 1993 and centres on longtime rivals Ryu and Ken Masters. Played by Andrew Koji and Noah Centineo, the two fighters are pulled back into the world of combat when Chun-Li, portrayed by Callina Liang, recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament. The competition promises brutal battles fueled by raw skill, destiny, and rage.

As the story unfolds, it becomes clear that the tournament is only part of a much larger and darker plan: a hidden conspiracy forces Ryu and Ken to confront each other and the painful choices from their past. The stakes couldn't be higher, and failure could mean the end for everyone involved.
'Street Fighter' Cast
The film boasts a massive ensemble cast bringing iconic characters from the classic Capcom games to life. Joe Anoa'i, also known as Roman Reigns, takes on the role of Akuma, while David Dastmalchian plays the villainous M. Bison. Cody Rhodes appears as Guile, Andrew Schulz as Dan Hibiki, Vidyut Jammwal as Dhalsim, and Eric André as Don Sauvage.
Jason Momoa stars as Blanka, and Curtis 50 Cent Jackson joins the action as Balrog. The cast also includes Orville Peck as Vega, Olivier Richters as Zangief, and many others.
